AMALFI
Day 6 of the itinerary involves sailing from Positano to the historic town of Amalfi, where you can immerse yourself in the Mediterranean beauty and culture and relish in the delightful local cuisine. You can explore the town’s charming streets and alleys and discover hidden coves and beaches.
Located on the southwest coast of Italy, beneath magnificent natural cliffs, Amalfi is the biggest town along the famed Amalfi Coast, with a wide selection of places to stay and a buzzing restaurant and bar scene. A few favorites include taking coffee and cake at Pasticceria Pansa Amalfi, a visit to Duomo di Amalfi, a walk to the quainter town of Atrani, or simply wandering the town and soaking in the sunset from the waterfront or on the famous Spiaggia Grande beach. A crowd-favorite is the Cattedrale di Sant’Andrea, which is a bricks-and-mortar reflection of the town’s former maritime superpower. While on land, you can also stretch out with a stroll through the town center’s lanes or stop by the lively Piazza del Duomo. Before sailing to your next destination, be sure to explore Grotta dello Smeraldo and the incredible waters that surround it.
