Located on the southwest coast of Italy, beneath magnificent natural cliffs, Amalfi is the biggest town along the famed Amalfi Coast, with a wide selection of places to stay and a buzzing restaurant and bar scene. A few favorites include taking coffee and cake at Pasticceria Pansa Amalfi, a visit to Duomo di Amalfi, a walk to the quainter town of Atrani, or simply wandering the town and soaking in the sunset from the waterfront or on the famous Spiaggia Grande beach. A crowd-favorite is the Cattedrale di Sant’Andrea, which is a bricks-and-mortar reflection of the town’s former maritime superpower. While on land, you can also stretch out with a stroll through the town center’s lanes or stop by the lively Piazza del Duomo.
